Small business

Big values.

We are a small independent business but this doesn’t stop us from doing things the right way. We are aware of our place in society, the impact we have on the people who visit and work with us as well as our wider presence in the community.

This awareness means we are able to challenge ourselves, create values that make us check in with our perceived understandings and ensure we stay true to our core belief, to be Motivated by Friendship.

Our Values

Compassionate Leadership

This is where it all begins, the roof where all our other values seek shelter. We are insistent that we focus on relationships through careful listening, understanding, empathising with and supporting other people. Enabling those we lead to feel valued, respected and cared for so they can reach their potential and do their best work.

Inclusivity

We seek to build a business based on ensuring people with varying views, experiences and ideas are welcome. Aspiring to remove barriers by creating inclusivity and ensure those who spend time at NHR are able to express themselves fully without hinderance - regardless.

Collaboration

Recognising that we are not the smartest people in the room opens the opportunity for collaboration. We actively seek the views and opinions of others, to help us build an experience based on true insight and not only our own perceptions. Allowing us to get the best out of ourselves and those who work for and with us.

The 1%

It is easy to gloss over the things that you feel don’t matter. This couldn’t be further from our mission, we sweat the small stuff. The 1% is what makes us stand out ahead of our competition, seeing the value and quality that exists in the 1%. It is here where we chose to spend the majority of our time, working on the detail.

Playfulness

We smile and laugh often throughout the day. We are not afraid to try new things and experience the unexpected. Participating in a variety of arts/sports/activities whenever we can, to expand our horizons. Making mental connections, learning how else we can use things and understand how else we can interact with the world around us.
